In the last blog I mentioned that sometimes it feels like we are the only CNC milling services or CNC turning services in Dorset… which clearly we are not, there must be hundreds of other organisations offering engineering services across Dorset too! But how little did I know that Entech Ltd was about to be invited to an amazing event that would leave Poole behind in favour of London. So I am pleased to announce that Entech has been invited to this years’ Parliamentary Review! This is great news and underlines our position as a leading engineering organisation across Dorset and the surrounding counties.
The Parliamentary Review is an annual initiative released to coincide with the beginning of the Parliamentary year. Manufacturing & Services is one of twelve editions, showcasing best practice as a learning tool to the public and private sector, in particular to policymakers, senior officials and leaders in the UK manufacturing & services sector.
This news has led to a renewed sense of achievement and pride across the organisation. Like many teams, each and every one of us makes a valuable contribution, including CNC turners, CNC millers, the management team and apprentices alike. But if you think about it rarely are achievements identified outside the immediate working environment. It is marvellous to be recognised in this way and should really help to put the engineering sector in Dorset on the map.
In the meantime it’s business as usual. This means we continue providing valuable engineering services, engineering advice and support to local businesses across Dorset. For example, we have recently completed some complex one off prototype gearboxes CNC milled from solid billets of aluminium, some large drive shafts turned from stainless steel and we have also been part of a new product launch last week. So plenty going on to keep everyone busy as summer holiday season approaches.
